Raising the Bar

Carole Smith

Let’s face it. All-white kitchens can be a bit sterile at times. Most of my Miami real estate clients profess to love a white kitchen but even the brightest, well-designed kitchen needs a pop of interest. An easy way to achieve this is when you incorporate a much-needed, interesting barstool.

The barstool maybe the most used seat in the house. In Miami, like in most cities – all gatherings circulate around the kitchen and if there are counter and stools (and wine), there’s probably a party.

Here’s an example of the impact barstools have on a stark white kitchen. Anyone of these would infuse instant personality into this Coral Gables home I have for sale.

1. Cognac Leather / 2. Velvet Blue / 3. Organic Woven / 4. Gray Backless

Ultimately, a chic backless brass counter stool was used and voila…immediate wow factor.

Hope this post served as inspiration that is simple to put into practice. It’s something I share with my clients all the time.
