Old Cutler Corridor

Old Cutler

Historic Old Cutler Road is considered by many to be one of the most scenic roads in Florida.  Flanked by a canopy of ancient banyan trees, Old Cutler Road branches off into many of Coral Gables premier neighborhoods.  Included in these exceptional enclaves of both waterfront and non-waterfront homes are Cocoplum, Gables Estates, Journey’s End, Hammock Lakes, Hammock Oaks, Old Cutler Bay, Snapper Creek Lakes, Girasol, Cutler Oak Estates and the Golden Triangle.

Easy accessibility to the finest public and private schools, Matheson Hammock Beach and Park, as well as the villages of Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Miami and Pinecrest part of the charm of Old Cutler Road but the lush beauty of its dappled light may be its greatest appeal.

Cocoplum/Tahiti Beach

Cocoplum and Tahiti Beach, located off Coral Gables’ famed Cartagena Circle offer something for everyone.  Showcasing waterfront and non-waterfront homes, its graceful streets epitomize haute South Florida living.  Tennis courts, a marina, and clubhouses round out the offerings.

Gables Estates

Gables Estates combines the beauty of the water with the luxury of acreage and offers its homeowners the best of all worlds.  Impressive and serene, Gables Estates quietly states, “You’ve Arrived,” from the moment you drive through its gates.

Journey’s End

Journey’s End is a quiet enclave of properties that evokes the gentle spirit of an old world neighborhood.  Sitting under a canopy of trees, it is peaceful and private, yet supremely luxurious.  Located next to Matheson Hammock Beach and Park, this fine neighborhood is manned with 24 hour security.

Old Cutler Bay

This Coral Gables neighborhood has become a boater’s paradise, with its wide docks and sprawling front lawns.  Beautiful homes grace its streets and the sparkle of the crystal blue water and the rich Miami sky is the backdrop for this little piece of heaven.

Hammock Lakes

A few lucky homeowners are delighted to call Hammock Lakes their backyard. The boating here is quiet and serene, as only kayaks and canoes are allowed.  Fiery sunsets are magnificent and often shared with turtles that stop by to sun themselves.  This neighborhood is supremely located just minutes from wonderful entertainment, shopping and delectable dining.

Hammock Oaks

Hammock Oaks, adjacent to Fairchild Tropical Gardens, is a warm and wonderful neighborhood which offers a combination of lakefront and non-lakefront homes.  It is a wonderful community where throngs of children ride their bikes, roller blade and come out for trick-or-treating on Halloween.  Neighbors all get to know one and other while this privileged South Florida lifestyle.

Girasol

Girasol is one of the most beautiful streets in Coral Gables and one of its newest sub-divisions.  It is impossible to drive down this charming street and not be taken in and awed by its lushness and beauty.  Located across the street from Snapper Creek Lakes, its nearby proximity to Fairchild Tropical Gardens is certain to please the nature lover.

Snapper Creek Lakes

Snapper Creek Lakes is a neighborhood of 124 homes, all one acre or more in size.  It was originally developed in the early 1950’s by the late Arthur Vining Davis who had a passion for preserving the lush native tropical hammock.  At the heart of this subdivision are two sparkling fresh water lakes.  A great asset to Snapper Creek Lakes is its marina, which offers five-minute access to Biscayne Bay.  Snapper Creek Lakes officially became annexed into the City of Coral Gables in 1996.  At that point, the three main entrances were closed and, in 1997, a guard gate, with 24 hour security, was erected to form one entrance.

Destacada Avenue
The homes on Destacada Avenue are some of the newer ones built on the Old Cutler Corridor and provide many of the amenities today’s homeowner yearns to have.  A tennis court sits at the entrance of the sub-division and one lovely homes leads to another.
